1. About this website

hireportaloo.co.uk ("the Directory") is operated by Marista Publications, a company registered in the Republic of Ireland. The Directory is an online listing service connecting customers searching for portable toilet hire with UK-based hire businesses ("Suppliers"). By using the Directory — whether as a searcher or as a Supplier — you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. Use of the Directory

The Directory is free to search. You may browse listings, view Supplier contact details, and contact Suppliers directly without registering an account. We do not take bookings, process hire transactions, or act as an intermediary between you and any Supplier. All enquiries and commercial arrangements are made directly between you and the Supplier.

3. Accuracy of listing information

Listing information is sourced from publicly available data and may not always be current. We make reasonable efforts to review and maintain listings but cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any business listed in the Directory. We accept no responsibility for any loss or inconvenience arising from inaccurate listing information. If you find an error, please contact us and we will investigate promptly.

4. Supplier accounts and listings

Suppliers who submit or claim a listing must provide accurate business information. Submitting false or misleading information may result in the listing being removed without notice or refund. Suppliers are responsible for keeping their listing details current. We reserve the right to remove any listing that we believe to be inaccurate, inactive, or in breach of these terms, at our sole discretion.

5. Paid listing packages

Paid listing packages (Verified and Featured) are offered on an annual subscription basis. The following terms apply:

• Payment is taken at the time of purchase and at each annual renewal.
• Paid listings go live immediately upon confirmed payment.
• Prices are shown exclusive of VAT. Applicable taxes will be added at checkout where required.
• Refunds are not available once a paid listing has been activated, except where required by applicable consumer law.
• You will receive a renewal reminder before your annual subscription date. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you will not be charged again until renewal.
• We reserve the right to revise package pricing with reasonable advance notice. Existing subscribers will not be affected during their current paid period.

6. Intellectual property

The Directory, its design, and all content produced by Marista Publications are the intellectual property of Marista Publications. You may not reproduce or republish any part of the Directory without our prior written consent. By submitting or claiming a listing, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display your business name, address, contact details, and any other information you provide for the purpose of operating the Directory.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Marista Publications accepts no liability for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Directory or any dealings with Suppliers found through it. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

8. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. By using the Directory, you agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes, except where applicable consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the Directory after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
